Palestinian Star of Cannes-Selected Doc Killed in Israeli Airstrike

Palestinian photojournalist Fatima Hassouna and 9 of her members of the family had been killed in an Israeli air strike on Wednesday, simply at some point after a documentary through which she serves because the protagonist was accepted into ACID, a parallel part of the Cannes Movie Pageant.

Hassouna stars in Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Stroll, a brand new movie by French-Iranian director Sepideh Farsi that chronicles the influence of Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip.

Talking to Deadline, Farsi confirmed that Hassouna, her sisters (certainly one of whom was pregnant), her brothers, and different members of the family had been killed in an Israeli air strike on Gaza Metropolis on Wednesday.

“The Israeli military mentioned it bombed the home as a result of there was a Hamas officer in there, which is completely false,” Farsi mentioned. “I do know the entire household. It’s nonsense. It’s simply so devastating.”
