Daniel Day-Lewis is popping out of retirement to star in a brand new film directed by his son.
The three-time Academy Award-winning actor is about to star in Anemone, marking his first on-screen position since 2017.
Daniel Day-Lewis co-wrote the movie along with his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, who’s making his directorial debut. Based on The Hollywood Reporter, the script “explores household bonds, particularly these involving fathers, sons and brothers.”
Alongside Day-Lewis, the solid contains Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley and Safia Oakley-Inexperienced.
Day-Lewis beforehand introduced his retirement from performing following the discharge of The Phantom Thread in 2017. He by no means gave a particular purpose for his choice, solely sharing a press release via his consultant: “Daniel Day-Lewis will now not be working as an actor.
