The African American Movie Critics Affiliation (AAFCA) has named Amazon MGM Studios’ Nickel Boys, director RaMell Ross, and The Piano Lesson director Malcolm Washington amongst its upcoming honourees.
Ross will obtain the Highlight Award and Washington the Rising Director Award at sixteenth annual AAFCA Awards on February 19, 2025, at Beverly Wilshire resort.
Nicole Avant, a political activist and producer on Netflix’s upcoming wartime function The Six Triple Eight, will accumulate the Beacon Award, whereas Ray Fisher, who stars in Netflix’s The Piano Lesson, will obtain the Breakout Efficiency Award.
