‘Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story’ to drop on Max in December

Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui’s awards contender Tremendous/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story will drop on Max on December 7.

The documentary debuted at Sundance and charts the non-public {and professional} lifetime of Superman actor Christopher Reeve earlier than and after the near-fatal horseback driving accident in 1995 that left him paralysed from the neck down.

The filmmakers use Reeve’s personal phrases and enter from his closest members of the family and buddies to color a nuanced portrait of a person who refused to be outlined by his physicality.

Tremendous/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story not too long ago received six Critics Alternative Documentary Awards and marks the filmmakers’ follow-up to 2018 Tribeca choice McQueen and their 2020 sports activities documentary Rising Phoenix.

Warner Bros Discovery snapped the movie up after its Sundance premiere. It’s a DC Studios presentation in affiliation with HBO Documentary Movies and CNN Movies in affiliation with Phrases+Photos, a Ardour Photos and Misfits Leisure manufacturing in affiliation with Jenco Movies.

Lizzie Gillett, Robert Ford, and Bonhôte served as producers.
