UK composer Debbie Wiseman to be honoured at World Soundtrack Awards

UK composer Debbie Wiseman would be the visitor of honour on the twenty fifth World Soundtrack Awards (WSA) in Belgium, which runs October 14-16, 2025.

Wiseman is greatest identified for her movie scores for Tom & Viv, To Olivia and Wilde, incomes an Ivor Novello nomination for the latter.

On the tv aspect, she has composed for collection together with Wolf Corridor, Father Brown and Decide John. With over 200 credit to her title, Wiseman has collaborated with the likes of Stephen Fry and administrators Peter Kosminsky, John Hay, Brian Gilbert, Simon Hunter and the late Lewis Gilbert.

As a part of the honour, Wiseman’s work might be performed on the WSA ceremony on October 15.

“It’s a real privilege to be sharing music with fellow composers, songwriters, business professionals and movie music followers,” the composer stated in a press release. “I’m excited to have live performance suites of my scores carried out – some for the very first time – by the esteemed Brussels Philharmonic beneath the skilled steering of Maestro Dirk Brossé on this stunning setting.”

The WSAs are held on the Muziekcentrum de Bijloke in Brussels throughout Movie Fest Ghent (October 8-19).
