Ice-T, veteran star of Regulation & Order: SVU, responded to questions on whether or not his character is likely to be leaving following the Season 27 premiere. He spoke about Fin’s storyline, hinted at what comes subsequent, and guaranteed viewers that his presence on the collection is just not over.
Ice-T says Fin shall be again and isn’t leaving Regulation & Order: SVU
Ice-T confirmed that his character, Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola, is just not leaving Regulation & Order: SVU regardless of hypothesis following the Season 27 premiere. On September 26, 2025, he addressed followers on X, writing, “SVU followers wanna understand how I acquired Fd up on final nights Episode….? It was within the Script.. Lol Don’t fear you already know ‘I’ll be again.’” The actor has performed Fin since Season 2, making him one of many present’s longest-running forged members alongside Mariska Hargitay’s Captain Olivia Benson.
Within the Season 27 premiere, an assailant injured Fin whereas he tried to cease an assault, sending him to the hospital. The assailant stole his weapon, and detectives Terry Bruno and Joe Velasco later tracked down the suspect and recovered it. Fin initially saved the scenario from Benson to guard her, however she confronted him after Amanda Rollins revealed the reality. Their dialog referenced retirement, with Fin admitting, “It’s crossed my thoughts. I don’t wish to do that without end.”
